Born abroad and raised outside of the country, Shadow joined with the military at 16 and rose through the ranks until at the age of 26 she was injured by an improvised explosive device. Disillusioned and still reeling from her injury she wandered from country to country, taking odd jobs and living hand-to-mouth. Finally she was picked up by a mercenary corporation and eventually farmed out to Aegis Inc to take part in an experimental program.
Wanting to bolster their reputation, her bosses issued her the call sign "Shadow" to make her seem mysterious and dangerous. In fact, while Shadow is significantly dangerous, she is also aloof and quiet; preferring the quiet of her bunk and the daily rituals of cleaning her firearms and doing simple tasks.
On the battlefield she appears as a valkyrie, terrifying and beautiful to behold, she is lithe and powerful. On the battlefield she is efficient and ruthless, a completely different person than in times of peace. She is often caught running her fingers over the scars from her previous injuries, whether out of remorse or pride no one knows.
Shadow is now playable on Counter Strike.
